Creatures of comfort

It's no surprise that autumn is well on it's way down in Tasmania, and with that comes some blistering cold winds, no matter how sunny a day it is. I've come to find that there's no better way to tackle the insane southern weather than a big, over sized jacket like this bright beauty from ASOS. Teamed with a comfortably light dress and this look could be carried all the way through winter in all of Tassie's unpredictable weather.
I will always be a creature of comfort.

Can you believe it's nearly autumn?
After finally arriving home after a long two weeks traveling all over Tasmania and Melbourne i knew i needed a bit of down time. I concluded that the best place to relax was by the ocean. I arrived to loads of rain and thunder, although found it to be more relaxing sitting out in that than in the hot sun i have been so used to over the past few months. Maybe i am looking forward to winter, just a little.
Although a cool breeze was curling around the headland it didn't phase me, as little goosebumps started appearing on my bare arms and legs. Somehow there's nothing more relaxing than dipping your feet into the cold water and letting the ends of your long Maxi drag into the icy coolness. This dress was perfect for the day. Long enough to still keep me a little warm. The new Azure Autumn collection by The Shanti Butterfly is a little like these days in the most southern part of Australia; utterly beautiful.

Just a quick update on the go. Alistair and i just got back from Melbourne which was just amazing! We got to meet one of my UK blogging friends, Kim from Sweet Monday which was a lot of fun. I did a lot of shopping and found some incredible buys like this Pilgrim jumpsuit and heels. My new favorite outfit i think (i'm still wearing it while writing this post). Now we are back in Tasmania and heading to the North coast for a wedding. Busy busy busy.
Keep your eyes peeled because i'll soon be doing a post all about my time in Melbourne.

Fashion is architecture

Love them or hate them, but shoulder pads are hot on the radar as far as i'm concerned. As Coco Chanel once said... "Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions."
Quite a fitting quote, don't you think?
p.s ps. I now have a Tumblr just in case you were needing some extra

Indiana Sunrise

Dress- Indiana by Freda (Available at ThreeOfive), Necklace- Bowie Accessories(Available at ThreeOfive)

A shimmering sunrise is what greeted me yesterday morning as i took an early morning stroll down the beach, shadows beginning to grow behind the scattered rocks emerging from the crisp waters surface.
One thing that i love about Tasmania is everywhere you go there is always something beautiful to be found and this hidden gem of a beach is no exception
As most of you are aware, i love a high neck, and i love a flattering dress. So when Indiana, by Freda paired these together to make an incredibly flattering high necked dress that's colourful as well.. i simply had to have it!
You can find this beautiful dress and some play-suits of the same print (why yes, thank you!) at ThreeOfive in Hobart's centrepoint arcade.
